Account Manager (US & Canada)
US & Canada · Remote · Base salary plus uncapped commission
About the role
binbash is an AWS Advanced Tier Partner. We are hiring an Account Manager to lead our expansion into the the United States and Canada startup market — owning the AWS Startups relationship, the pipeline it feeds, and the deals that come out of it.
This is an account manager and a sales rep in one seat. You prospect, you close, and you stay on the account afterwards. Pre-sales, DevOps, Data, AI/ML and DBA specialists sit behind every deal, so what you sell is what a senior delivery team can actually build.
What you'll own
- Your market. Lead binbash's expansion across the United States and Canada, with a delivery and pre-sales team behind you rather than a deck.
- The AWS relationship. Represent binbash to AWS Startups — Partner and Account Managers, and Startup Advocates — with a weekly alignment and a monthly co-sell sync.
- Pipeline, end to end. Build it and close it: professional-services engagements and multi-year managed-services agreements.
- Demand generation. Run our own events, and represent binbash at AWS Summits and the conferences your buyers actually attend.
- The offering. Feed what you hear from clients back into how our managed services are shaped and packaged.
What the first year looks like
We would rather write the cadence down than discover in month three that we meant different things by "ramping".
- A weekly alignment with AWS Startups, and a monthly co-sell sync.
- Three qualified introductory meetings a week to start, ramping to six by month four. Qualified means a decision-maker with a budget or a near-term need — not a coffee.
- A monthly rhythm of professional-services opportunities and a quarterly rhythm of managed-services agreements, with the revenue targets set with you in your first weeks rather than handed to you in an offer letter.
Who we're looking for
- You operate like a founder — proactive, resourceful, and comfortable going from zero to one in a market nobody has opened for you.
- You have worked with AWS sales teams before; AWS Startups, ideally.
- A real network in the startup and venture ecosystem — people who take your call.
- A commercial background in cloud, AI or B2B services.
- You have opened or scaled a market before, or you are ready to with a senior delivery team behind you.
- Nice to have: technical depth enough to hold your own on DevOps practices and AWS cloud-native architectures
Where you are based
Fully remote, from anywhere in the United States and Canada — as we have been since binbash was founded. We would prefer San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin or New York, because that is where the AWS teams and the startup events we work with are densest, but it is a preference and not a filter: make the case for where you are.
You should expect to travel — to AWS offices for the alignment that does not happen over video, and to the summits and conferences where your buyers already are.
What we offer
- A base salary plus uncapped commission on gross revenue — professional services and multi-year managed-services ARR both count. The full schedule comes in the first conversation.
- A dedicated team on every deal: pre-sales, DevOps, Data, AI/ML, DBA and AWS cloud delivery.
- High autonomy and real decision-making power inside a fast-scaling AWS Advanced Tier Partner, reporting directly to the CCO, CEO and CTO.
- Remote, with 30–40 hour weeks, no weekends and no work on your national holidays.
