AWS Lead Pre-Sales Solutions Architect
About the role
We’re seeking an experienced and visionary AWS Lead Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our team. This senior role is pivotal in creating, leading and mentoring a team of pre-sales solutions architects, bridging the gap between our commercial and engineering / delivery teams, and driving the technical excellence of our solutions. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative and modern AWS-based solutions.
Requirements / Technical Skills

Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect or in a similar senior technical role.

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills in English.

Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform in AWS.

Proficiency in Docker Container Orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s), AWS ECS and Serverless Architectures.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.

Experience with observability tools and practices (Metrics, Logs, APM, Traces).

Knowledge of security and compliance standards and practices on AWS.

Technical background in DevOps practices and AWS Cloud Native Architectures.

Experience designing the full cycle of software delivery projects.

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

Strong sense of accountability and leadership regarding decision-making and collaboration with internal and client stakeholders (Engineers/Managers/Directors/Head/VPs of Engineering).
Key Responsabilities

Leadership: Bootstrap, lead and mentor a team of pre-sales solutions architects, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Acting as an Engagement Manager during pre-sales, passionate about working with our customers, partners and stakeholders to drive the business forward.

Client Engagement: Engage with clients, prospects, and vendors to gather requirements for new projects and opportunities.

Solution Design and SOW definition: Architect and design tailored solutions leveraging AWS and binbash services, ensuring alignment with client needs and objectives. Responsible for planning (SOWs and roadmap), prioritization of tasks and tasks estimation. Plan new client engagements, milestones and deliverables. Construct and plan joint backlogs.

Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and engineering team to design and implement effective solutions, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.

Presentations: Prepare and deliver high-impact pre-sales presentations showcasing the services and solutions offered by AWS and binbash.

Training & Events: Lead activities and events such as demos and immersion days for internal and external audiences.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest AWS services and features, integrating new features and improvements into client solutions and team practices.

Process Improvement: Propose and implement new initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with sales senior management on strategic planning and business development initiatives to drive growth and market penetration.
